Despite Popular Belief...

So I thought I would take the time to tell some truths....
First off... college kids are NOT cool! We are really kind of dorky... here is some evidence of that:

(we were having WAY too much clean fun tonight with our fancy macs!)

Second rumor dispelled: We don't actually spend all our time partying

This is actually my bed and desk... we are all taking turns editing papers

#3: Well this one is not actually a rumor it's just proof of us playing an interesting game called.... KISSING RUGBY

Finally, despite what we tell all of our parents (and what they tell us), this is what the boys REALLY think of us dorky college girls:

Alright, peace out... more from me later!

1st Week

So this week was kinda insane. I moved in last Thursday, went to NSO on Friday and Saturday , then dove in headfirst to my new life. Here are so pics:

Our first night in the dorms!! Meet my roommates Rachel, Angie, and Kaylee!
Our very first time attending church here at BYU: Kaylee, Angie, Me, Madison, Rachel, and Ragan!
A well needed temple trip. I am so grateful that we have one close enough to visit every week!

Game night! We played Mafia, Celebrity, and Kissing Rugby. It was a blast!
After game night we all packed into the elevator to watch Transformers downstairs. As you can see we have made many, many friends :)
And of course, where this all started. I was raised by great parents and grew up with some pretty fantastic siblings. This is only the beginning of my life and I couldn't be more grateful to the people who made me who I was!

-thats all for now! Until later,
Becca

The Beginning

So, I am writing this blog to chronicle my college life. I don't have a camera and my journal is off-limits but this seems like a good way to remember these next for years.
My name is Becca Gifford and I am a freshman at BYU. I am attending the Summer term and hoping to enter the Accounting program in two years. I am from Lubbock, TX and LOVE Provo, UT. I hope that this is an accurate and wonderful account - but if not... it is guarenteed to be a blast. So here we go!
